This week, I've got a selection of articles from across the interwebs I think you'll enjoy.
⬨ A Simple Case for Inspiration
"How do we justify our confidence in biblical authority when many—including some Christians—deny that the Bible is inspired by God and inerrant? The Scripture’s own claim about its divine source is clear, but it’s insufficient for skeptics outside the church or in.
I’d like to suggest a line of reasoning that is compelling and holds promise to get people thinking about Scripture as God’s Word—and if God’s Word, then inerrant, of necessity."
⬨ If You Want to Be Sanctified, Rehearse Your Identity
"If you have a malformed or underdeveloped understanding of your identity in Christ, you’ll stunt your Christian growth. But if you know exactly who you are in Jesus, you’re able to walk in the newness of the life that’s yours in him (v. 4). Do you know who you are? In Romans 6, Paul says you must understand two truths about your identity to grow in sanctification."
⬨ A Parent’s Guide to the 5 Skeptics Who Want to Shame Your Kids for Being Christian
Natasha Crain explains the manipulative attacks our kids are likely to encounter and how parents (and, presumably, teachers) can prepare them.
"Kids need to understand these emotion-laden shaming attempts they’ll encounter. Like so much else, this is something parents can and should prepare them for. Here are the five most common skeptics who want to shame your kids for being Christian."
⬨ 99.8% of Muslims Don't Know Allah Says THIS about the Bible! (video)
This video is a great introduction to the "Islamic Dilemma", which has been making a splash on the internet for about a year. In short, the Quran affirms the New Testament and also denies the New Testament, creating a logical contradiction. The video is part of a playlist if you want to learn more. More and more Muslims are moving to and moving around the US and other western countries, so we should learn to how to talk to them about the truth of Christianity and their need for the gospel.
